Partnering with a dropship company can skyrocket your income. It can make you the money to be a stay at home mom, to get out of debt permanently, or even walk away from your daily commute forever. But you need to be sure to get off on the right foot to ensure your success. Here are a few things to make sure your dropshipper will offer.1. They must have quality merchandise. You won’t make a fortune by selling plastic crap that falls apart two days after you get it. Do some research on the quality of the products they will be offering you to sell.

2. See if people are complaining about their shipping service. These people will be handling your shipping, so make sure they are treating people right. An hour of searching the internet should be all you need to find out. Unhappy people love to complain on the web.

3. Make sure they will handle the customer service on the shipping end. Your job is to keep in contact with the customer before the sale, and they make sure the shipping goes according to plan.

4. Make sure they will be flexible on your customer service guidelines. For example, if you want to authorize the company to handle upset customers on their own, you can tell them they have the right to make the customer happy up to a certain dollar amount. Whether that means shipping an additional widget, or reimbursing them for shipping, make sure the dropship company is flexible in this area.

As if you haven’t already heard, millions upon millions of people of people buy and sell on eBay every single day. Some only make a few sales here and there. Others have figured out what it takes to become “Powersellers.” Powersellers are the very small minority of eBay sellers that do at least $2,000 per month in sales on eBay and maintain a 99% positive feedback rating. Powersellers are the ones that really know what they’re doing and if you really want to be successful on eBay then follow the secrets they revealed to me.

So, what are the secrets, tips and tricks that will cause you to become a Powerseller as well?

Well, I’ll be completely honest with you… I may be well on my way but I’m not a Powerseller yet. However, one thing that I know from creating several successful businesses is that if you want to become the best at something, you need to copy those that are already successful, ask them to mentor you and ask questions and take notes. And now I am going to take what they taught me and pass it on to you.

This is part one of a four part article series. You will find links to the other parts of this article series at the end of this article.

SECRET STRATEGY #1 – FIGURE OUT WHY YOU HAVEN’T DONE IT BEFORE!

Before, you rebuild a house, you need to tear down what doesn’t work and then rebuild. To just rebuild over the bad parts just doesn’t work. So, ask yourself this question: “Why haven’t I done it before?” And if you have done it before, ask yourself: “Why haven’t I succeeded before?” Now, before you say something like “I didn’t have the money” or “I don’t have enough time,” I want you to consider that the answer is really something that you can’t see. Let me draw an analogy.

Let’s say that you’re driving down the street and you see this house that is tilted. You walk up to the front door, the owner answers and you say, “Hello, did you know that your house is slanted and that there is probably something wrong with your foundation?” The owner replies, “I don’t know what you’re talking about. My house is perfectly straight!” How could they possible say that?! Well, it’s because they’ve been living there so long that they don’t even see the symptom let alone the real problem. So, consider that all the reasons that you haven’t done this before aren’t the real reasons. The real reason is the one that you can’t see… the foundation of the house.

Now, fill in this Bible saying: “_____ is the root of all evil.” You said “Money,” right? Well, would you be shocked if I told you that the Bible doesn’t say “Money”? You’re shocked aren’t you? Well, Timothy 6:10 actually says “The love of money is the root of all evil.” A few words makes world of difference don’t they? After all, if you heard “Money is the root of all evil” over and over again as a child then how could you ever have money around you and still remain good? The sad thing is that while the Bible’s actual saying, “The love of money is the root of all evil,” is true, the often misquoted version simply isn’t true. The Bible is talking about Greed not Money.

Another saying that I really hate is “Money doesn’t grow on trees” because it really does! OK, it may not physically grow on trees but it does grow like fruit on a tree. Investments are a prime example of this principle. If you invest and nurture your investments, they’ll grow and you can use some of the money to spend on yourself and replant the rest. Constantly feed the Goose and it will lay bigger and bigger golden eggs. Later in this article, I am going to tell you about a Powerseller that epitomizes this as he took $1,000 and turned it into $270,000!

My point with both of these sayings is that you need to get at the real reason that you haven’t succeeded rather than focus on the obvious symptoms.

SECRET STRATEGY #2 – GET SERIOUS ABOUT YOUR BUSINESS

According to the Powersellers that I interviewed, they believe that they number one reason that people fail on eBay is that they don’t treat it like a business. While the Powersellers that I talked to really love their work, the realize that it is a business. Even though it doesn’t cost millions of dollars to sell on eBay, they treat it like a business every day of the week and they have it organized like Microsoft or Ford or any other successful business. You know, even ballplayers who make their living playing a game treat their profession as a business. eBay Powersellers treat their business like a business worth $100 million.

SECRET STRATEGY #3 – ORGANIZE IT AND KEEP IT ORGANIZED

This is the absolute hardest thing for me because I am one of those people that likes to go with the flow. Although whenever I’m not organized, I always lose money because I can’t find the web address to that one special deal that I found out about. Or I forget about some meeting or to make a call to place an order. You’ve got to be organized to be successful. Successful businesses are highly organized and disorganized businesses are short-lived.

SECRET STRATEGY #4 – COMPARTMENTALIZE EVERYTHING THAT YOU ARE WORKING ON

This strategy is kind of similar to #3 but I want to make it specific anyways. I have used this strategy for a couple of my small businesses and I am told that it also works very well on eBay. You see, one thing that amateurs try to do is the try to do a little of everything everyday. Post a few listings, answer a few emails, go to the bank every morning, package a few items and mail them. The problem is that this just doesn’t work because you’ll be all over the place and unfocused. And when you’re unfocused, you make mistakes and mistakes cost money!

A better way to approach your business is to do one or two things per day. For example, make Wednesday your shipping day. Simply package all of the items that you sold and then drop them off with your shipper. Make Tuesday the day that you go to the bank. And make Thursday the day that you get all of your listings ready to be posted. The main point is to focus on one thing until you’re done with it and avoid getting scattered all over the place.

SECRET STRATEGY #5 – BUILD A WINNING TEAM

It takes a team of 55 players to win the Super Bowl and 25 players to win the World Series. How are you going to create a successful eBay business on your own? Now, you might be thinking “But I’m more of a tennis player type.” Well the best tennis players in the world have coaches, trainers, medical staff, agents, publicists and tons of other people that are there to help them succeed. Do you think that the President could have even become President without a campaign team?

Or maybe you’re saying something like “But I can’t afford to hire someone!” Look, you can’t afford not to. Take this article for example. I dictated it into a digital audio recorder, copied it onto my computer, had somebody transcribe it for a few bucks (probably in India for all I know), edited it myself and then hired another kid to submit it to over 300 article directories.

On top of that, while the kid submits the articles, I’ll be writing another article. All of this cost me about $30 and would have taken me at least five hours to do on my own. I’m worth more than $6 an hour and so are you. Always look at it this way and you’ll make more money and more money.

One of the best places to check for very reasonable and reliable outsourcing is Elance at:

http://www.a-to-z-web.com/links/elance.html

And yet another consideration is to barter with people. I know a gentleman that is about 75 years old and doesn’t even own computer. And yet he makes over $100,000 per year online. How does he do this? Well, his grandson knows a ton of stuff about how to create a web site, how to market online and other things. So this gentleman makes fishing flies and lures and his grandson sells them on eBay. In addition, this gentleman dictates articles into an audio recorder for his fishing email newsletter for which he has over 5,000 subscribers. He takes care of the creative stuff and his grandson manages the business and they split the profits. There is not excuse… if you don’t know how to do something find someone that does!

Well, that’s it! Armed with these secret eBay strategies, you too should be well on your way to making a very substantial income on eBay.

Online shopping websites like eBay have made finding bargains easier than ever. On eBay, millions of sellers list auctions for new and used products, and buyers bid against each other in auctions. You can literally find anything on eBay; there are even sections of the site for cars and real estate. It is no longer necessary to shop around to find savings, as they are all collected in one place.
New and used products populate eBay, and unless you absolutely need something new, it is best to always buy used products. Once something is used, its monetary value is automatically cut almost in half, even if it works as-if new. By acknowledging this, you can save a cumulative hundreds of dollars on everything you buy. There is no reason to purchase new DVDs, video games, or other similar merchandise when a used copy will operate just the same.
The process of bidding has evolved drastically since it was first introduced. To make bidding easier, one can utilize a system known as proxy bidding. With this technique, users enter the maximum amount they would be willing to pay for something. Doing this frees you from having to consistently return to the auction page to outbid other buyers.
For example, say you are trying to purchase something for which the current price is at $20. You can enter your maximum bid as $40, yet the auction will only increase to $21 (if the minimum bidding increment is one dollar). If nobody else bids, you win the auction for $21. If other people attempt to win, your bid will automatically increase until somebody else bids over $40.
When the clock is running down on an auction, intense bidding wars sometimes arise. Only a short time ago, bidding was a three-step process which could take as long as thirty seconds, which is a lot when only a short time remains before the end of a listing. Ebay recently implemented a new feature called One-Click Bid which enables users to make bids incredibly quickly and immediately see when they have been outbid. The tool is especially good for sellers, since it increases competition and ultimately the final price.
As if single items on eBay were not cheap enough, you can save even more money when you buy items in bulk. Instead of spending time finding individual items, you can locate just one listing with everything you need. While it may take awhile to identify that special listing, you still save more time than if you bought everything separately, and of course there is the monetary incentive as well. Many people have even made careers out of the economies of scale concept. They win bulk listings and then sell products individually.
Ebay has become a cultural phenomenon for reasons in addition to being a great place to save money. Creative individuals have found ways to make money from eBay without actually selling any products, or at least selling products that have essentially no real worth. We have all heard of items with religious or celebrity figures imprinted on them selling for ridiculous amounts.
One man set up an auction in which he stated the winning bidder could tell him what religious service to attend, and not surprisingly, the auction sold for an excellent amount. If you can come up with the next big eBay idea, it could make you rich.

Ebay has always given consumers the image that anyone can log on and make a fortune selling rare and bizarre items. This has spawned countless “get rich quick schemes” that have only made money for the scam artists that created them. Beneath the veil, it has always been a small group of eBay powersellers dominating the eBay business marketplace. While a few entrepreneurs have been able to carve out a scant number of successful niches, the big business goliaths have ruled supreme. eBay powerseller’s access to virtually unlimited supply and funding has allowed them to keep a firm grip on the auction marketplace. However, a new business concept known as dropshipping is changing the way the online auction industry works and giving new small business a chance to succeed on eBay.Dropshippers level the product supply playing field
One of the greatest assets of powersellers has been access to large lots of items purchased from foreign importers. Being able to purchase these items at a huge discount allowed them to price these items far below the margin a small eBay business can afford. Dropshipping companies have greatly leveled this pricing gap by offering small eBay businesses the ability to purchase small lots, as few as one item at a time, and sell them for similar rates as that of the huge powersellers. Whereas in the past the little guys were forced to purchase their items from garage sales in order to keep up, they now have access to a catalog of well over one million items to sell on eBay. This allows eBay businesses to effectively equal powersellers in their ability to reach customers with the discounted products that they demand. While small eBay sellers had to rush to the post office five times a day to ship their items, the dropshipper ships the product directly from the supplier to the customer’s doorstep. In the world of eBay sales “Cash is King”
Most powersellers are actually large corporations portraying themselves as small merchants simply selling their wares on eBay. Having access to large amounts of cash, they have been able to price small eBay businesses right out of the market. While an eBay entrepreneur might be able to offer a couple different types of products, powersellers use their buying power to sell a thousand different products in markets where the small business has no access. Dropshipping allows an individual to offer far larger variety than even the largest powersellers and pay nothing up front. A dropshipping member only pays after the product has already sold for a profit, giving them the ability to list an unlimited number of products at a time. If the auctions do not sell, the eBay business is not required to purchase anything from the dropshipper and moves on to the next successful auction.Powersellers reputations all smoke and mirrors?
Facing a powerseller that has a feedback rating of ten thousand positive replies can be quit daunting. Powersellers give the impression that they are kings of customer service, however many have gained their feedback ratings by less than fair methods. Most powersellers rarely reply to complaints as they know the buyer is only one of thousands most of whom will automatically give positive feedback. Only a dropshipper who is eBay certified can give the small eBay business the customer service advantage. These dropshippers provide a wholesale guarantee to ensure they are offering the best quality items at the right price to sell successfully on EbayDropshippers are the future for small eBay business
As respected dropshippers grow they will offer the small eBay business greater control over the eBay marketplace. They will be able to equal large powersellers in supply, price and quality. The “get rich quick” schemes of the past, are being replaced with legitimate options to face off against the currently dominant powersellers. Clearly, dropshipping presents the single greatest option for small businesses seeking success selling on eBay.

If you are planning to sell your products on eBay, here are a few tips to help you maximise your sales on eBay. Making sure the price is rightBefore you upload a product for bidding or sale, you should research similar products on eBay and the internet. Customers will only be attracted to your products if they are competitively priced, you should make sure you are not loosing out on a transaction to make it competitive. If you have to sell a few products on a ‘no profit no loss’ basis don’t worry. Understanding shipping optionsAs an eBay seller, the onus of providing shipping options and shipping charges rests with you. It is important to research various shipping options and choose shipping options that are convenient to both you and your buyers. Before offering international shipping, make sure you look into the various restrictions and limitations that apply to international shipping. Once you have found a list of shipping options that suit your requirements, you should clearly mention the various ‘terms and conditions’ of shipping before allowing users to buy products. Product descriptions are importantA product description serves a dual purpose. An attractive product description will attract users to the product, but a product description that is written with search engine optimization in mind ensures the product shows up for popular searches on Google and other search engines. If you are selling an electronics item, make sure you clearly mention the technical specifications of the product (the storage space, battery life etc.). An ideal product description should be readable and optimized for search engines. Positive feedback countsIt is important to generate a positive feedback of your services, even if it means selling the occasional product on a ‘no profit no loss’ basis. Buyers prefer shopping with sellers that have a positive rating or have received positive reviews. In a nutshell, it is essential to establish yourself as a trusted seller with lots of positive feedback. Payment optionsIdeally, you should allow shoppers to make payments using various modes. Popular payment options include Paypal and credit cards. The simplest way to enable multiple payment options is to open a Paypal merchant account. Paypal allows transfer of funds by all major credit cards and also using an existing Paypal account. Rules and RegulationsEBay has a set of regulations that sellers and buyers are expected to follow, make sure you understand all the rules and regulations. Violating eBay’s guidelines can result in suspension of your eBay account.Apart from the points mentioned above, it is essential to understand that you should treat eBay just like any other business. You should focus on providing superior customer care, also all your client interaction should be professional. Your organization should come across as professional and courteous; this will ensure customer loyalty and confidence.

The biggest questioned asked by sellers on eBay is, how do I get more traffic to my store and my auctions? Ebay has added a number of tools to help you generate traffic. One of the best tools is eBay Guides.
Guides is a tool you can use to teach about a certain subject or niche. Guides are exactly what the name implies, to guide visitors in some area of interest. A guide is a manual that gives directions. It is not for reviews. EBay has another area called the review area for reviews. I will discuss that in another article.
How do guides work? You access the guides area from My Reviews & Guides” on your My eBay page. You can manage the guides you’ve created. You can change your guide. You can publish a guide. You can also see the status of your guides. Those listed as displayed are posted on eBay, and everyone can read them. Not displayed are guides hidden from view, either because it is draft or it is in violation of some policy.
Guides listed as submitted are still under review. When you write a guide they are reviewed by eBay. If there are no problems with it, then after the review they make it live.
Now that you know all about guides, you are probably wondering, “but how do I use it to make money?” It is actually used similar to the way articles are used to market websites. You write a guide on a subject related to what you are selling. Your guide should be interesting and useful. When I say useful, I mean it has to have some value to the reader. If there is no value to the reader, he will not read much before he clicks away and will not likely read any of your other guides and chances are he won’t do business with you.
If you write useful guides, eBay buyers will notice. They will look for and read your guide. Near the end of your guide, you should add what amounts to a resource box. This resource box will include a link to your store. When they come to the end of your guide, they will see your information and your store link and they will click the link, go to your store and buy something. At least, that’s the general idea.
The better your guide, the more likely they will be to check out your store. This is the first benefit of your guide, directing eBay traffic to your store. There is another benefit.
When you write your guide, like any other content you create, you must think in terms of keywords. Keywords drive everything online. Like you would put appropriate keywords in your auction title, you put keywords into your guide title. You also select tags, which is really another name for keywords. Both of these keyword pieces of your guide will be searchable to anyone on eBay.
The biggest bonus is, the guides are also crawled by the search engines. You could conceivably be listed in search engine results from searches on your tags or keywords. You might be able to get off eBay traffic.
Guides can be a useful tool as part of your overall marketing campaign. To maximize your online efforts you should use every tool available to you including the eBay guides.

With nearly 1 million people earning all or part of their annual income from eBay it is now a fact that eBay has become a juggernaut marketplace capable of creating fortunes. If you sell on eBay and are interested in making the most of your auction posting than read on to learn 10 tips the powersellers use to rack up giant sales numbers and to keep that pipeline open.1.  Sell non-mainstream/unique items at a discount – With eBay being open to anyone with a computer and ambition, you’ll find that most of the larger markets have been cornered. So unless you can give your prospect a better reason to buy from you or a much better price point, stick to selling those items that are harder to find. Industry or hobby specific items come to mind such as industrial oscilloscopes or rock climbing gear. So narrow your market and you’ll see a rise in sales activity. 2. A good customer is worth his weight in gold – Nothing will hurt your sales more than too much negative feedback. Not only does it destroy your chances with new buyers but unhappy customers don’t buy from you a second time. Repeat buyers are the bread and butter of successful sellers. Just ask any powerseller and they will tell you that most of their sales are made to customers who have purchased from them before.  So Ship Items Quickly, Notify After Shipping, Waterproof and Pad Shipped Items and don’t forget to say thank you to your customers for their business.3. Use images wisely – The vast majority of buyers search for items with images, so if you’re not using pictures to sell your items… start. However, a poor quality picture can be as bad as no picture at all. Invest in a camera that’s 7.0 Megapixel or better and isolate the item to be sold for starters. Good lighting will help make your item stand out and take more than one shot of the item from different angles. If your selling products that have specific specifications such as PC power supplies ensure that you get a shot of the label showing all the specs. Do the same for similar items, it gives the buyer proof that the item is exactly what they are looking for.4. Make your auction titles descriptive – People look for items by brand name, model number, item specification, color, size etc…  Ensure that you include these in your auctions title. Use the common sense approach, put yourself in your customers shoes and do a search for the item yourself and see what you can find.5. Make your descriptions focused and concise – Keep it as simple as possible unless you know how to achieve high returns by writing direct marketing letters. Your description should expand on your title. Reiterate the brand, specifications, model number, color, size and anything else that might be of importance to your customer. Contrary to direct sales a person searching on eBay does not need to be convinced that they want to buy your product, so your job is simply to get as many interested prospects to your auction post as possible and let the buyers find you. Everything else will take care of itself.6. Learn how to find great deals to resell – You’ll discover that many of the larger sellers have contracts with manufacturers, for those just starting out however, many items can be found on the internet and resold for a profit on eBay if you know where to look. A simple search on Google can turn up many products below retail price. If you have an idea in mind for a product you’ll want to write this down. Open Google up in a new window or tab and type this in without the quotes “closeouts product/item name”. You would obviously replace “product/item name” with the product or item your looking to buy. You can also use words like liquidation, wholesale and discount in place of closeouts. With this method you should be able to find plenty of low cost products to resell on eBay.7. Create an eBay store for more profit – If you sell multiple items in the same industry don’t hesitate to create an eBay store. This will net you many more sales for the same amount of effort. All of your auctions will carry a link to your store where you will showcase your other auctions. Chances are if someone is buying an industry of hobby specific item from you they will also need other items from that same market. Take some time to brainstorm all the items someone in your market might be looking for and add them to your inventory.8. Make use of the Buy-It-Now option – Most of the time you will do much better to include the buy-it-now option. This is because most buyers would prefer to get the product than out bid the other prospects. Most of the time you will not see any worth while increase in profit by letting the buyers’ bid-it-out, in fact you’ll more likely than not make less for your product than if you had set a buy-it-now price.9. More payment options are better than less payment options – It goes without saying, but I’ll say it anyway. eBay users use many different methods to pay for goods, the more you accept the more sales you will make period. Just make sure that you have the infrastructure to support every payment type you accept.10.  Research, Research, Research – Find your customers hot buttons, better yet find their buy now buttons. This will save you more time, money and heartache than any other tip on this list. Through research you’ll learn what your customer is searching for, what price to set, how to word your titles and descriptions and even how to expand your inventory for greater profit. So set aside some time to visit eBay and search for your products keeping an eye out for what the competition is doing that might be making them sales.

For more eBay success tips and to learn how to sell on eBay visit http://www.ebaysellingsystem.com and claim your Free eBay Success Kit Now!
